Itinerary:
Day 1: Australia (or New Zealand) to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Depart on your flight to Siem Reap where you are welcomed and transferred to your hotel, the gateway to the Angkor Wat temple complex.
Day 2: Temples of Angkor Wat. Tour the magnificent 12th century Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm, then enjoy a traditional Khmer welcome dinner with an Apsara dance show.
Day 3: Siem Reap Free Day. Spend the day at leisure or join an optional excursion to Kompong Phluk floating village on Tonle Sap lake.
Day 4: Siem Reap to Battambang. Drive to the French colonial town of Battambang, stopping at a stone carving workshop and Phnom Sampeau Mountain with its sobering Killing Caves.
Day 5: Battambang to Phnom Penh. Ride the unique bamboo train, then travel on to the capital Phnom Penh with an evening at leisure.
Day 6: Phnom Penh City Tour. Visit the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, with an optional afternoon tour of the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.
Day 7: Phnom Penh to Kampot. Continue to the charming riverside town of Kampot at the foot of the Elephant Mountains.
Day 8: Kampot Free Day. Relax at your resort or explore Kampot's laid back riverside setting at your own pace.
Day 9: Kampot to Koh Rong Samloem Island. Transfer to Sihanoukville Pier and take a short ferry to the beachfront Eden Beach Resort on Koh Rong Samloem Island.
Day 10: Koh Rong Samloem Island. Enjoy a full day at leisure on the island's pristine white beaches and turquoise waters.
Day 11: Koh Rong Samloem Island. Another free day to swim, island hop or simply unwind.
Day 12: Koh Rong Samloem Island to Phnom Penh. Ferry back to the mainland and transfer to Phnom Penh for an evening at leisure.
Day 13: Phnom Penh, Cambodia to Australia (or New Zealand). Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
Day 14: Arrive in Australia (or New Zealand). Arrive home after your Cambodian adventure.
