Itinerary:
Day 1: Depart Australia or New Zealand for Tokyo. On arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Tokyo. Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of the Tsukiji Outer Market and the Meiji Shrine, then explore the city at your own pace.
Day 3: Tokyo to Mt Fuji to the Nagano Region. Ascend to Mt Fuji's 5th Station for sweeping views before travelling into Nagano's scenic landscapes.
Day 4: Nagano to Narai-juku to Takayama. Step back in time through the beautifully preserved Edo-period merchant towns of Narai-juku and Takayama.
Day 5: Takayama to Kyoto. Travel to the former Imperial Capital and visit the vermilion torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine and the golden Kinkaku-ji.
Day 6: Kyoto. A free day to explore at your own pace, with an optional evening Maiko Dinner Show.
Day 7: Kyoto to Okayama. Discover the canals of the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter and the serene Korakuen Garden.
Day 8: Okayama to Hiroshima. Cross to Miyajima Island to see its famous floating torii gate.
Day 9: Hiroshima. Reflect at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum.
Day 10: Hiroshima to Osaka by bullet train. Board the shinkansen for the fast journey to Osaka.
