Itinerary:
Day 1: Australia (or New Zealand) to Milan, Italy. Depart Australia or New Zealand for Milan. Depending on flight scheduling, some travellers may depart on day 2.
Day 2: Welcome to Milan. Arrive in Milan, meet your transfer and settle into your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 3: Full Day Lake Maggiore. Spend a full day exploring Lake Maggiore and the elegant town of Stresa. Take a guided boat tour of the Borromeo Islands, including Isola Bella and its Baroque palace.
Day 4: Milan City Tour. Enjoy a guided city tour past Sforza Castle, the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Later travel to the Lake Como or Lake Maggiore area.
Day 5: Lake Como to Lake Lugano, Switzerland. Visit Lake Como and ride the historic funicular to the village of Brunate. Continue to the Swiss lakeside city of Lugano for time at leisure.
Day 6: Como, Bergamo, Sirmione and Lake Garda to Verona. Stop in the UNESCO listed city of Bergamo before reaching Lake Garda. Enjoy a guided tour of the resort town of Sirmione on the way to Verona.
Day 7: Verona Walking City Tour and Bardolino Wine Tasting. Take a half day guided tour of Verona, home of Romeo and Juliet and its Roman amphitheatre. In the afternoon enjoy a wine tasting in a Bardolino wine cellar on Lake Garda.
Day 8: Verona to the Dolomites via Pass Pordoi to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Head into the Dolomites and ride the cable car to the Terrace of the Dolomites at Sass Pordoi. Continue to your accommodation in the Cortina d'Ampezzo area.
Day 9: Dolomites, Brunico and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Explore Brunico, the turquoise Lake Braies and the Cold War Bunker Museum. Finish the day in the glamorous mountain town of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Day 10: Dolomites Full Day. Admire the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo peaks and the hidden Lake Misurina. Enjoy a relaxing walk around the pristine alpine lake.
Day 11: Prosecco Hills, Treviso and Venice. Tour the UNESCO Prosecco Hills and the medieval CastelBrando castle. Continue via Treviso to your hotel in the Venice area.
Day 12: Venice Walking City Tour. Board a water bus into Venice and take a guided tour of St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure before returning to your hotel.
Day 13: Venice, Italy to Australia (or New Zealand). Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
Day 14: Arrive in Australia (or New Zealand). Arrive home, with some flights arriving a day later.
