Itinerary:
Day 1: Australia (or New Zealand) to Cape Town, South Africa. Depart for Cape Town, where you are met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Cape Town Half-Day City Tour. Enjoy a half day tour taking in Table Mountain (weather permitting), the Company Gardens and historic city sights, then relax at leisure.
Day 3: Cape Town Free Day. A free day to explore the city, or join an optional Full-Day Peninsula Tour to Cape Point and its penguins.
Day 4: Cape Town Free Day. Another day at leisure, with the option of a Cape Winelands full day tour through Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
Day 5: Cape Town to Johannesburg to Ivory Tree Lodge. Fly to Johannesburg and transfer to the 5 star Ivory Tree Game Lodge in Pilanesberg in time for your first afternoon game drive.
Day 6: Ivory Tree Game Lodge, Pilanesberg National Park. Head out on early morning and evening game drives in open 4x4 vehicles in search of the Big Five.
Day 7: Ivory Tree Game Lodge, Pilanesberg National Park. Discover more of the reserve and its wildlife on further morning and evening safaris.
Day 8: Ivory Tree Game Lodge to Johannesburg. Enjoy a final morning safari, then transfer to Johannesburg with a stop at the Apartheid Museum.
Day 9: Johannesburg to Australia (or New Zealand). Check out and take the shuttle to the airport for your flight home.
Day 10: Arrive in Australia (or New Zealand). Arrive home, with some flights landing the following day.
