Itinerary:
Day 1: Australia (or New Zealand) - Rome, Italy — Today, depart for Rome, Italy. Please note: Due to flight scheduling and availability, some customers may be required to depart on Day 2, to arrive on Day 2.
Day 2: Welcome to Rome! — Upon arrival, you'll be met by your English-speaking tour leader and transferred to the hotel.
Day 3: Rome Walking City Tour — After breakfast, be met by your local guide for a guided tour of Rome - the 'Eternal City' (approximately 3 hours). The tour begins at the Trevi Fountain, an iconic spot thanks to the movie ‘La Dolce Vita’, directed by Federico Fellini. Your guide will take you through the streets of the old town, visiting famous sites such as the Pantheon, the Palazzo Madama - the Senate of the Italian Republic and Navona Square, built on the ruins of the Domitian Circus (entrances not included). Once the tour finishes, enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 4: Rome - Pisa - Montecatini, Tuscany — After breakfast, depart for Pisa. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking guided tour in the city centre. Explore one of the architectural gems of Tuscany - Pisa, a city renowned for its iconic landmarks, rich history and vibrant culture.
Day 5: Florence Walking City Tour — After breakfast, continue your Italian journey to Florence in the heart of Tuscany. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of this incredible city (approximately three hours). The tour takes you through some of the famous sights and attractions of Florence.
Day 6: Montecatini - Milan Walking City Tour — After breakfast, depart for Milan. Upon arrival enjoy a guided city tour (approximately three hours). Celebrated as the Italian capital of fashion and design, Milan is rich in art, history and culture.
Day 7: Milan - Venice Walking City Tour — Today, begin your journey to Venice.
Day 8: Venice - Trieste - Begin 9-Night Greece, Croatia & Türkiye cruise — After breakfast, relax with free time until you are transferred to the cruise terminal in Trieste to embark on an exciting 9-night Mediterranean cruise.
Day 9: Split, Croatia — Arrive at Croatia's second-largest city, Split, that provides an insight into Dalmatian life.
Day 10: Cruising — Overnight on the MSC Splendida.
Day 11: Piraeus, Athens, Greece — Arrive in Piraeus, one of the oldest ports in the world.
Day 12: Kusadasi, Türkiye — Arrive in Türkiye, renowned for its ancient relics and UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Day 13: Istanbul — Arrive in Istanbul, where the ancient East meets the contemporary West.
Day 14: Cruising — Overnight on the MSC Splendida.
Day 15: Corfu, Greece — Arrive in Corfu, renowned for its beautiful beaches.
Day 16: Bari, Puglia, Italy — Arrive in Bari, where ancient history meets modernity.
Day 17: Trieste -Venice Area — Disembark and transfer to your hotel.
Day 18: Venice, Italy - Australia (or New Zealand) — Make your own way to the airport for your return flight home.
